Agronomy Club

About

"Agronomy club is centered around crop and soil agriculture, but is open to members of any major thanks to the way farming is intertwined with itself. We aim to encourage the interest and continued learning of crop and soil sciences throughout our club, the school, and the community. Agronomy Club is always accepting new members, and currently holds meetings on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th (when it applies) Thursday's of each month, at 7:30 in the housing office community room, but that typically changes a little bit year by year. We do have dues, as well as jackets and t-shirts for additional costs.

Agronomy Club tries to be a busy and involved club, and in the past we have done field trips, fundraisers, guest speakers, and club-bonding activities. Some of our field trips have included Unverferth Manufacturing, and Sunrise Farming Cooperative. We have brought in guest speakers from Ohio Corn and Wheat, as well as recurring guest Austin Heil, who is a Drone and Precision Ag Specialist. For fundraising the last two years, we have held a community dinner with a 50/50 drawing. And while doing all this, the club manages to have fun and hold bonding activities such as a show'n'shine competition for student vehicles, trampoline parks, and going snow tubing. This is simply what we have done in the past, but we are always open to doing more, and doing new, so come on out!"
