NineTY-fIVe PERCENT OF ATI CLASSES WiLl bE IN PERSON
- We're planning for at least 95% of classes to be taught in person. This is the percentage of in-person classes we offered pre-COVID.
- Classrooms will be tiered to allow for physical distancing: Classes with fewer than 50 students (the vast majority of classes at Ohio State ATI) will take place in classrooms at full capacity; larger classes will take place at reduced capacity
Outside the classroom, we expect campus life to include a wide range of events and gatherings this fall.
Safety measures will still be in place, but we can all make a difference. We expect to continue requiring masks indoors, but if we can achieve a high vaccination rate and low COVID-19 positivity rate, we hope to remove the mask requirement outdoors.
With more of us vaccinated, we'll also have more flexibility on group sizes, space density and other protocols when we come together for events, gatherings, football games and other celebrations.
What you can do to prepare
Get vaccinated and follow personal safety practices.
We're recommending that the entire Ohio State community — faculty, staff, current students and you — do their part to keep the Buckeye family safe and healthy.
Expect regular testing.
Our community is being tested regularly, and we expect that to continue — and to include our incoming class. Pro tip: By getting the COVID-19 vaccine, you won't have to be tested as often, and you probably won't have to quarantine if you're exposed to the virus.
Stay up to date on the latest news.
We'll share more as we know it — expect an update when you attend orientation this summer, and find the latest details for current students any time on our Safe and Healthy website.
