The college recently added two staff members to support development efforts for the Wooster campus.
Dawn Hammer Tabata was named senior director of development for CFAES in September, 2014. Based in Columbus, she is responsible for major gifts fundraising and for managing a team in Wooster that supports the college’s mission. Dawn has returned to The Ohio State University after five years as the director of philanthropy at The Nature Conservancy Ohio Chapter. In addition to working previously at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and at the College of the Arts & Sciences, she worked for Ohio Health and St. Ann’s Hospital. Dawn holds a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing and a minor in Portuguese from Ohio State.
Patricia James joined the CFAES development team this month as the assistant director of development and is located in the Wooster. Tricia's primary role is to provide direction and coordination of fundraising activities for Ohio State ATI. Additionally, she will develop and implement plans to engage alumni, friends, volunteers and other entities throughout northeast Ohio in support of the college and university’s mission, objectives, and priorities. Tricia was previously the director of inside sales for ABS Materials, Inc. in Wooster. Before joining ABS Materials, she was the development coordinator at Wooster Community Hospital, a position she held for eight years and where she had the opportunity to experience not only a wide range of development experiences, but to interact and engage with the greater Wooster community. A graduate of The College of Wooster, Tricia began her development career with the College of Wooster in 1999.
