Shawna Rene Jackson, 25, of Burbank, died Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2016, at Cleveland Clinic following a strong and courageous battle with cancer that she fought for the past four months.
Shawna was born Feb. 5, 1991, in Medina to Harold and Denise (Dodge) Thompson and was a 2009 graduate of Medina High School. She attended Ohio State ATI in the horse production and management program and was the Deputy Dog Warden for Medina County Animal Shelter.
She enjoyed horseback riding, being with friends and family and loved animals and nature. Her greatest joy was being a wife and a mother to her son, Keegan, who was born in April.
Surviving are her husband, Randy Jackson, whom she married on Aug. 14, 2015; a son, Keegan Jack; her mother and stepfather, Denise and Greg Crossen of Medina; a sister and brother-in-law, Teressa and Jeff Androsac of Medina; a brother, Andrew Thompson of Lakewood; stepsisters, Heather Crossen of Fairview Park and Berylle Lababidi of North Olmsted; a stepbrother, Ed Crossen of Cleveland; her in-laws, Jack and Tammy Jackson of Creston; a brother-in-law, Jeff Jackson of Creston; grandparents, Marion Cibik of Brunswick, Virginia Baker of Creston and Lynnette and Mike Green of Wooster; two nieces and two nephews; and many friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harold in 2015.
