    Heather Pariso '10 of Dover is a greenhouse and nursery specialist with Rice's Nursery and Landscaping in Canton, but her alter ego is the television personality "Garden Gurll." Heather's "Garden Gurl" show debuted in April on TV2 Tuscarawas Valley.

    Pariso covers a variety of topics in her weekly show, including the importance of landscaping, seed starting, new plant varieties and pruning, as well as growing vegetables, growing and cooking with herbs, and planting location.

  3. Six honored by CFAES

    Six of the 14 College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES) award recipients have relationships with Ohio State ATI. Recipients were nominated as a result of graduating from Ohio State ATI or in the case of the meritorious service award because of their service to Ohio State ATI.

    These award recipients will be Dale Leppo (Chairman of the Leppo Group) – the CFAES Meritorious Service Award. The purpose of this award is to give public recognition to non-alumni and/or alumni of the College who have been singularly significant in the College’s quest for excellence.

    Ladonna Whitt, floriculture technician at The Ohio State University Agricultural Technical Institute (Ohio State ATI) and formerly of Enon, is the recipient of a 2014 Distinguished Staff Award from Ohio State University.

  10. ATI Ranked Number One in Ag Degrees

    Ohio State’s Agricultural Technical Institute in Wooster is ranked number one in the nation among two-year institutions in the awarding of degrees in agriculture in Community College Week’s 2012 Top 100 report.

    In addition to ranking the overall top 100 associate degree producers, Community College Week also ranks the top 50 in various disciplines. ATI is ranked in the category of agriculture, agricultural operations, and related sciences, which includes horticulture and power equipment. Community College Week compiles its reports from data from the U.S. Department of Education.
