    Homeroom, the official blog of the U.S. Department of Education, has released a state-by-state list of two-year colleges with the highest graduate earnings, and Ohio State ATI tops the list in Ohio and ranks number three nationally. The list was based on its College Scorecard, which provides access to a whole host of data verified by the U.S. Department of Education on thousands of institutions across the nation in an easy-to-use online tool.

    (Wooster, Ohio) August 3, 2016 – The Ohio State University Agricultural Technical Institute (Ohio State ATI) recently approved a new greenhouse engineering technology specialization in their greenhouse and nursery management major. This program is unique in its engineering approach to traditional horticulture technology education and is the only two-year program in the U.S. for greenhouse engineering technology.

    Heather Bauder and Jeff Gallimore are the most recent Ohio State ATI graduates to have joined the Ohio State ATI horticulture division.

    Heather Pariso '10 of Dover is a greenhouse and nursery specialist with Rice's Nursery and Landscaping in Canton, but her alter ego is the television personality "Garden Gurll." Heather's "Garden Gurl" show debuted in April on TV2 Tuscarawas Valley.

    Pariso covers a variety of topics in her weekly show, including the importance of landscaping, seed starting, new plant varieties and pruning, as well as growing vegetables, growing and cooking with herbs, and planting location.

    Six of the 14 College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES) award recipients have relationships with Ohio State ATI. Recipients were nominated as a result of graduating from Ohio State ATI or in the case of the meritorious service award because of their service to Ohio State ATI.

    These award recipients will be Dale Leppo (Chairman of the Leppo Group) – the CFAES Meritorious Service Award. The purpose of this award is to give public recognition to non-alumni and/or alumni of the College who have been singularly significant in the College’s quest for excellence.

  8. U. S. Rep. Robert Gibbs

    The Ohio State University Agricultural Technical Institute will confer 139 degrees and certificates to graduates at its 40th commencement exercises on Saturday, May 4 at 11 a.m. at Fisher Auditorium.

    This year’s commencement speaker is the Honorable Robert Gibbs, U.S. Representative for the 7th District of Ohio and was sworn into office January 5, 2011. Gibbs is a member of Ohio State ATI’s first graduating class in 1974.

    More than 300 million photos were uploaded to facebook per day from January to March 2012. 3.2 billion "Likes" and Comments were generated by Facebook users per day durning the first quarter of 2012. More business internet traffic goes to Facebook than to any other Internet site. 6.8 percent of all business traffic goes to Facebook.
