Ohio Residents

If you are an Ohio resident who has never attended another college or university, you will be admissible to Ohio State ATI if you have graduated from a chartered high school and passed (or are exempt from) all sections of the Ohio Graduation Tests (OGT’s).

An applicant who has satisfactorily passed the General Educational Development (GED) tests and received an Ohio High School Equivalency Diploma through the Department of Education is considered the equivalent of a high school graduate.

If you are an Ohio resident who has graduated from a high school that is not chartered by the state of Ohio, you will be considered for admission through a competitive admission process. This process involves a review of your high school curriculum and your performance in that coursework.

We will need the following information submitted for admission:

  • The online application
  • A $60 non-refundable application fee (credit card if paying online, or check or money order made payable to The Ohio State University)
  • Official high school transcript

If you plan to take the ACT or the SAT test, please release the results to Ohio State. (Scores that appear on your high school transcript CANNOT be utilized at Ohio State.) We don't require your scores for admission, but they can be utilized in the scholarship process and for placement in math and English courses. Ohio State's ACT code is 3312. If you are planning to take the SAT, Ohio State's SAT code is 1009.

Non-Ohio Residents
If you are a non-Ohio resident freshman interested in an Associate of Applied Science degree program, you will be considered for admission through an open enrollment process.  We will need the following information submitted for admission:
