The Apartments Manager is a full-time, live-in professional staff member who is responsible for office oversight, supervising office assistants, front desk operations, and mail and package receiving. She also coordinates all aspects of key inventory, social media marketing, budgets, and advising.
The Resident Advisors (commonly known as RAs) are second and third-year students who have been trained in building community, act as resource people in the village, host educational and social programming opportunities, as well as hold their peers accountable to the Student Code of Conduct and Residential Living Handbook policies. Resident Advisors are leaders on campus who help maintain and create an environment conducive to learning. Each RA spends time getting to know his/her group of 20-45 residents each semester through guided interviews called "OH" and "IO" conversations. New Resident Advisors are selected each spring semester through an extensive application and pre-training seminar process and are required to maintain a 2.25 GPA.
The Office Assistants (OAs) work the front desk of the housing office from 5 to 28 hours per week. They assist residents by answering questions in person or over the phone, logging and issuing student packages, assisting with lockouts, and working on special projects as assigned. New Office Assistants are hired each summer or as positions become available and require a 2.0 GPA.
