Brief Course Descriptions:
Intermediate Word (6.5-hour class)
Expand your knowledge of Microsoft Word! In this course, you’ll learn about styles and outlines, sections and columns, formatting tables, printing labels and envelopes, templates and building blocks, graphics, managing document revisions and web features.
Advanced Word (6.5-hour class)
Now that you have become skilled at Microsoft Word, take it to the next level by increasing your understanding. You will learn how to use mail merge, objects and backgrounds, macros, working with forms, customizing Word, long documents and XML features.
Basic Access (6.5-hour class)
Need to manage large amounts of information? Learn why you would need to use Microsoft Access. In this course, you will learn terminology, designing,creating, building tables, queries, forms and reports.
Basic Excel (6.5-hour class)
Gain the confidence to build simple worksheets, charts and formulas that utilize the basic functionality of Excel. This course is designed for the beginner or anyone who has been using the program but could benefit from formal instruction on navigation, entering and editing data, creating formulas, inserting functions, reusing formulas and functions, modifying a worksheet, formatting a worksheet, printing, managing workbooks and basic excel customization.
Intermediate Excel (6.5-hour class)
Learn how to analyze your information quickly and efficiently. This course is designed for the person who is already familiar with charting, formulas, formatting and moving data around and is ready to master working with specialized functions, ranges, lists – sorting and filtering, analyzing data using tables, conditional formatting, visualizing data with charts, using pivot tables and pivot charts, working with graphical objects and using array formulas.
Advanced Excel (6.5-hour class)
Take your skills to the highest level by learning how to harness the power of Excel’s data analysis and filtering tools. In this course, we will focus on working with multiple workbooks and worksheets, linking cells between worksheets and workbooks, 3-dimensional cell referencing, consolidating data, lookup function, troubleshooting formulas, workbook collaboration, data validation, macros, sparklines and mapping and forecasting data.
Excel Functions & Formulas (4-hour class)
Don’t have time to explore Excel’s 350+ functions or need a review on basic and multi-dimensional formulas? Then this class is for you! Lean about productive, timesaving functions as well as formula-building, creative array formulas and trouble-shooting techniques. Useful and practical functions covered include: rounding, statistical, financial, text, date/time, IF, AND, OR, RANK and SUMIF.
Excel Pivot Tables & Vlookup (4-hour class)
Pivot tables could be the most powerful tool in Excel when it comes to working with large datasets. Become empowered to manipulate, analyze and interpret large amounts of data. Learn how to automatically sort, group, count, filter, report and summate data with dragging and dropping techniques.
Beginning Macros (4-hour class)
Learn how to replace a repetitive series of keyboard and mouse actions with a macro. Class covers an introduction to Visual Basic for Applications. After displaying the developer tab in the ribbon students will learn to record, run, save and edit macros using the Visual Basic Editor.
Advanced Macros (4-hour class)
Mastering the VBA programming language, means being able to produce macros to perform almost any task in Excel. Students will discover that macros can save hours of time, by automating repetitive tasks, and can interact with users to allow flexibility.
While this class is by no means a comprehensive index of the VBA programming language, it does aim to assist the beginner in getting started with writing Excel Macros, using VBA code.
PowerPoint: (6.5-hour class)
Learn what all PowerPoint has to offer. In this course, we will cover the basics of new presentations, formatting slides, using drawing objects, working with graphics, using tables and charts, modifying, proofing and delivering presentations. Then make the most of slide shows and animation to create visually appealing and dynamic presentations. Develop time-saving skills that lead to more productivity and efficiency. You’ll learn about embedding and linking content, reusing slides and master slide development.
