Online Credit Courses
Online/distance delivery courses allow for flexibility in our programs and decreases barriers to higher education for those who are place bound or with time constraints. This means you do not have to be on campus to attend classes! These online offerings also allow us to promote ATI to underrepresented populations in Ohio.
Online/Distance Learning courses come in a variety of forms: The Ohio State University defines courses by the percentage of instruction delivered online. Below are brief descriptions of these types of distance courses.
- DL - Distance Learning – Instruction for the course is completely (100%) online with students interacting with each other and their professor using online technologies. These courses can also have laboratory exercises which often entail students receiving kits to do the laboratory exercises at home or participating with local organizations for observation/practiums.
- DH - Distance Enhanced- 75 to 99% of instruction at a distance with some class time on campus or alternatively logging in live to a video streamed class session.
- HY - Hybrid (Blended) – 25 to 74% online with some class time on campus or alternatively logging in live to a video streamed class session . These are often seen in courses with laboratories where the lecture portion is online and the laboratories are face-to-face at specified days/times or students receiving kits to do the laboratory exercises at home or participating with local organizations for observation/practiums.
- P - In Person – In these courses the instructor is lecturing to students in a face-to-face lecture room at the same time as students logged in online for zero to 24% of the instruction.
- Note: Please to look closely at the class syllabus and/or contact the instructor for further details
