Campus Change
You've built a strong foundation. With a transition to Columbus, you're ready to complete a bachelor's degree.
How it works
Many ATI programs — especially Associate of Science degrees — are designed to complete the first half of a bachelor’s degree.
After your time at ATI, you’ll transition to the Columbus campus to finish your major.
Your path to Columbus
Meet with your academic advisor to:
- choose the right courses
- stay on track for your major
- understand your timeline
To transition campuses, you typically need:
- at least 30 completed credit hours
- a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA
Some majors may require higher standards.
You’ll complete a Campus Change Request through ATI Academic Affairs.
Before scheduling classes, you’ll:
- meet with your ATI advisor
- connect with an advisor in your intended major
This helps ensure your courses apply to your degree.
(Hint: You can connect with an advisor through your program card in the Majors search tool)
Once approved, you’ll register through Buckeye Link and begin taking classes on the Columbus campus.
What to expect
- You remain an Ohio State student
- Your credits move with you (based on your major)
- Your experience shifts to a larger campus environment
When should you start?
Start planning at least one semester before you want to transition.
Early planning helps you:
- avoid taking unnecessary courses
- stay on track for graduation
- meet deadlines
Need help?
Students planning to transition should connect with:
- their ATI academic advisor
- the ATI campus change counselor
- their intended major department on the Columbus campus
