    SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – Most Ohioans are familiar with the network of alumni from The Ohio State University. But, they probably do not know the “four-legged alumni” that graduated from Ohio State Agricultural Technical Institute (ATI).

    Starting autumn semester 2024, Ohio State ATI in Wooster will offer a new 9-month certificate program in feed mill operations to meet a growing demand in animal agriculture. It is the only program of its kind in Ohio.

    According to The American Feed Industry Association, there are more than 5,800 animal food manufacturing facilities in the United States which provide more than 944,000 jobs.

    Two Ohio State ATI faculty members, Dr. Sara Mastellar and Dr. Uttara Samarakoon, were among the College of Food, Agricultura, and Environmental Sciences Wooster Campus faculty who mentored interns in the 2023 OSU Research Internship Program (ORIP) this summer.

    Ohio State ATI Second Year Transformational Experience Program (STEP) students participated in a field trip to Washington D.C. on March 9th through the 12th. They were joined by faculty mentors Dr. Dan Linden and Dr. Eric Williams. The trip was organized by Penny Nemitz, Wooster Campus STEP Coordinator, who also attended.

    Foaling season at Ohio State ATI's Equine Center in Wooster, OH, officially began on January 13 with a bay filly by Credit Fashion out of Cavaliers Victory.

    The Ohio State University Agricultural Technical Institute (Ohio State ATI) is launching a livestock judging team and has taken a crucial first step: hiring a team coach. Jeromesville native Seth Ebert is joining the ATI faculty as coach and lecturer in animal sciences. Ohio State ATI has an established dairy cattle judging team that has placed highly in state and national competitions, including World Dairy Expo, and hopes to achieve similar success in livestock judging.

    Ohio State ATI's Business Training and Educational Services office has announced its Winter 2023 computer classes and its Winter-Spring 2023 Industrial Technician courses. These courses are eligible for TechCred funding from the State of Ohio.
