Alumnus named to crops manager position

Scott Ruck is Ohio State ATI's new crops manager. Scott is a 2011 graduate of the Ohio State ATI agronomy program, CFAES Department of Horticulture and Crop Sciences with an agronomy focus. 

Scott was previously  employed by Shearer Equipment in Wooster as an AMS specialist, where he was responsible for sales of John Deere Agricultural Management Solutions, equipment and services. He also conducted customer training on all John Deere AMS products. While at Ohio State ATI, Scott interned with Deerflield Farm Services, where he consulted with producers and provided them with the tools needed to meet their yield goals. Scott has a strong background to contribute to student instruction in the realm of precision agriculture and will have greater responsibility in teaching, particularly with student practicum experiences.
