Ohio State ATI will host its annual Garden Open House on Friday, Aug. 1 from 6-9 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 2 from 9 a.m. to noon.
Ohio State ATI's extensive annual gardens are designed this year around the theme of children's books, including Alice in Wonderland, the Harry Potter books, The Very Hungry Caterpillar and many other beloved works. Visitors can also see Ohio State ATI's 2014 All-America Selections garden, which features a number of regional AAS winners this year, chosen specifically for their suitability to this region.
In addition to the numerous display gardens, visitors can also enjoy live music, provided once again this year by musicians belonging to MacDowell Music Club, which has been in continuous existence in Wooster for 93 years (founded in 1921). The musicians this year include Ferne Haghiri on keyboard, Annie Gerig on oboe, also alto and tenor recorder, Rosario Candelero on cello, and Cheryl Anderson on harp. There will be live music both days, Presentations will include solo keyboard, solo harp, and ensembles consisting of oboe and cello, oboe and harp, and recorder and harp.
