Four new majors in lineup for Fall 2012
(Wooster, Ohio) Nov. 16, 2011-- With the conversion to semesters in Fall 2012, ATI will introduce four new associate of science degree programs. The programs are:
• Agricultural Systems Management — This program will prepare students to transition into the agricultural systems management bachelor’s degree program in the Department of Food, Agricultural and Biological Engineering.
• Biochemical Sciences — Students in this program will have the opportunity to specialize in biology, food science or pre-veterinary medicine and transition to Columbus to continue their education.
• Renewable Energy — Two options will be available in this program: bioenergy and solar and wind energy. The bioenergy program is the focus of a $762,416 grant ATI was recently awarded by the National Science Foundation. This program will make extensive use of the college’s existing research program and industry partnerships in renewable energy.
• Sustainable Agriculture — This program will prepare students for employment in production agriculture or agribusiness. Graduates may also continue their education in plant or animal sciences or natural resources.
