Four new majors in lineup for Fall 2012

(Wooster, Ohio) Nov. 16, 2011-- With the conversion to semesters in Fall 2012, ATI will introduce four new associate of science degree programs. The programs are:

Agricultural Systems Management — This program will prepare students to transition into the agricultural systems management bachelor’s degree program in the Department of Food, Agricultural and Biological Engineering.

Biochemical Sciences — Students in this program will have the opportunity to specialize in biology, food science or pre-veterinary medicine and transition to Columbus to continue their education.

Renewable Energy — Two options will be available in this program: bioenergy and solar and wind energy. The bioenergy program is the focus of a $762,416 grant ATI was recently awarded by the National Science Foundation. This program will make extensive use of the college’s existing research program and industry partnerships in renewable energy.

Sustainable Agriculture — This program will prepare students for employment in production agriculture or agribusiness. Graduates may also continue their education in plant or animal sciences or natural resources.
