Mare Services
Mares staying at the Equine Center during the breeding season are cared for by students with the supervision of faculty and staff. All mares are teased Monday through Saturday as part of the breeding classes.
Mares arriving for foaling are placed in our spacious foaling stalls and monitored around the clock. Night watch consists of two students who monitor the mare. The students will call a faculty or staff member when the mare goes into labor. The faculty or staff member will be present for the delivery if any complications arise.

Stallion Services
Stallions may stand the breeding season here at the Equine Center, live year round or be trailered in for collections. All breeds are welcome. Stallions living at ATI receive grooming and exercise from students and staff members.
We offer a test cooling for all stallions that are going to be shipping semen that season. During our test we collect and evaluate the semen. It is then extended into several different extenders and cooled. Each sample will be evaluated at 24 and 48 hours. This will enable us to determine which extender is best for your stallion.
